Asda online shopping

I had a Asda delivery yesterday 5 Jan only to find that fresh meat items had a use by date of 6 Jan. Only one day of life for a weekly shop. Absolutely disgusting service. Don't think I'm patting my back pocket for saving some wonga. Has anybody experienced this shoddy service?

I've only ever had one out of date item, and that was from Sainsburys. Never had a problem with Tesco, which is the one I use now.

I've just spent nearly £1,000  (not mine!) on food parcel ingredients on the Morrisons online service so I sincerely hope they deliver on time and with no substitutions.

Sylvia - keep an eye out for vouchers, often appearing as flyers in various papers and magazines - they frequently offer discounts or money off offers for new customers.  when you register on their web site it will probably tell you that there is some sort of goody for new customers.

Ocado it is then.Asda have not had the courtesy to reply to my complaint. Now voted the worst on-line supplier.

I've used Ocado ever since they started their dlivery service - very few substitions, and freshness is fine.  And deliveries are on time, with lovely polite and helpful drivers.  Add to this that you get 5p for each bag that you return to them and I think it's definitely the best service around.

I've used Morrisons recently - but for food parcel stuff mostly - good and prompt.

I've tried all of them at one time or another and can vouch for Ocado being the best in terms of freshness and low amount of substitutions. They are also very prompt - in fact they are usually bang on time if not slightly early - but they always ring first to check you are in.

That's one of the reasons I'm wary of online grocery shopping. I think Tesco claim that everything will be as fresh as can be, but who knows?
