Rough sleepers

Useful article in the Metro. I have reported the rough sleepers outside the town hall. They must be freezing in this weather. Probably in the Town Hall - it's nice and warm in there and not difficult to gain access to loos and showers.

I walked past this afternoon on the way back from footy and all the bedding was there, Plus a huge pile of empty beer cans behind the railings. I shudder to think where they are going to the loo.

Apparently there were as many as eight people sleeping rough there last night.Some tidying up going on this morning - not sure by whom. Lots of duvets and pillows still there.What should be done?

I'd like to mention the Hope Centered Foundation, which caters to the emotional and spiritual needs of these people. Their walk in sessions are on Tuesday and Thursday at the Baptist church. They provide hot showers, toiletries, clean socks and underwear but most importantly they talk to their clients, offer tea, advice,support and do marvellous work. Any help with funding appreciated. Ideally buy, or contribute to their Wednesday stall in the market.
