Pancake Day:  9 February 2016

Who doesn't like pancakes?  This is a great excuse to allow the kids to have a go at cooking their own pancake or creating an interesting filling - or combination of fillings.If you can rustle up pancakes with an egg, a little flour and some milk on that camping trip you'll have friends for life.  It has to be the simplest recipe ever. No ready-mix needed!  Everyone has favourite fillings - what's yours?How about inviting some friends and having a pancake party?

Well I was out and luckily had the opportunity of pancakes on a lunchtime menu and someone else cooking them - savoury ones - stuffed with leek and spinach and parmesan.  Yummy - but I'm not sure they were as good as the ones that Café Rouge used to do stuffed with Mediterranean vegetables...Will have to save the sweet ones for another day.
