Bomb attack in Belgium...should we close our borders?

Sounds like a good plan. In addition I think every mosque in the UK should have an ofsted like annual inspection and have to explain what they are doing to counter terrorism. Only mosques need such measures, there is no evidence of any other religious organisations (hindu/sikh/Buddhist temples, churches etc) being in any way involved.

Have just been through Calais.  The 'jungle' has now been dismantled except for a few structures.  The whole area up to the tunnel exit is bathed in razor wire in some places 3 fences deep.  Why did this all take so long...I would have thought that the placing of some sort of explosive device in the tunnel would be high on any terrorist agenda.

The apologists must realise that out of 100 refugees one might be a terrorist ! Also many British born terrorists travel to Syria , Iraq etc as proven by all of those involved in the Paris / Brussels atrocities who all without exception went abroad to be trained by ISIS !

Troops at the Channel Tunnel might be in the contingency plans for a possible future outside the EU, and might not be too bad an idea.Rather than making flippant and ridiculous suggestions..perhaps when someone you know and love  is blown to pieces by someone who should have been prevented from entering the country in the first place it will focus your mind away from ignoring that there is a significant danger.

We need to stop this problem at its root. Most of the terrorists have returned from fighting in Syria disguised as refugees on boats from Turkey as refugees. 10,000 UN soldiers on the Turkish coast , 300 military boats blockading and returning boats to Turkey , and arrest the people smugglers making millions . This would hinder terrorists coming to commit attrocities and halt the refugee crisis which is out of control !

It has been proven that many of these terrorists returned from fighting in Syria on boats from Turkey to Greece as refugees. We have to stop these boats . 10,000 UN soldiers on the Turkish coast , 300 military boats who return the boats to Turkey , and arrests of the people smugglers! This would stop the refugee crisis , and hopefully stop terrorists coming to Europe to commit attrocities !

Yes and we should erect electric fencing around the UK with machine guns mounted at every port and the army guarding the Channel Tunnel.

Any scintilla of empathy or sympathy for their cause. E.g. The possibility that Salah Abdeslam May be able to sue a French prosecuter for revealing details of a conversation. This is a disgusting insult to the 130 who died in Paris.

That's rich coming from Tony Blair..he has to take a large slice of responsibility for what is happening in Britain, Europe and the Middle East.

Closing borders wouldn't change a thing.Surely it would be more logical to ask why a whole region was destabilised, resulting in people hating the West so much that they would resort to such heinous atrocities.

Meaning what, exactly? If we close our borders then British people who are currently on holiday would not be allowed back in.
