Recycling help needed

I am trying to sort out the accumulation of many years of cards and letters. What is the best way of dealing with birthday and Christmas cards - I know some of the more elaborate ones with bows and bits are more difficult, but will ordinary ones go in the paper recycling bin?  I also have quite a lot of postcards received from travelling friends - does anyone have any interest in these?help please, before I get drowned in cards

Reuse is better than recycling so somewhere where they can be used for craft?  Unless you can find a postcard collector (which there are) how about somewhere where they may be doing projects on travel?  Schools, scouts, holiday projects, décolletage...  It seems crazy that people buy specially created kit last minute for some of these projects.

I don't think cards as well as wrapping paper can go in normal paper waste as often they have glitter or other non paper material included. After christmas there are card collection bins in various locations.

An easy way to recycle old cards is to put them in local recycling bins, like the ones by the bus stop on the Uxbridge Road, Acton Park entrance, in Acton Central.
