Acton Park

Does anyone know what is happening in Acton Park? The awful mini gold thing is taking forever, there are rocks scattered about around trees as if announcing some sort of late evening sacrifice ceremony.. why and what are they doing there and why doesn't anyone ask us, the local residents? An astro turf would be nice, a basketball area would be great, a ping pong table, more swings or just space...

The people in the cafe said they were hoping for tomorrow but you would think there would be something definite said if that were the case.

I went to the one in Wandsworth after work with a work gang last year . It was great fun.  And we travelled there not local to work.  I would have thought it will do well and the cafe will benefit. The houses backing onto park may find it noisy.  But I think it's a good thing certainly better than abandoned bowling green which was rather forlorn and depressing.

The Putt in the Park people already run similar things in Battersea and Wandsworth.They charge £8/9 per adult there and £6 per child. Will that work in Acton?We're not on their website yet....

Looking forward to the miniature golf. Will be a great addition and a fun thing to do with friends and family of all ages

While going for a run yesterday I saw that the park was being mowed, and that the miniature golf is well on its way to being finished.

The "Putt in the Park" is opening next week according to the chap in Birdies cafe - though it doesn't look ready to me. Many people beavering away there this afternoon.What the park really needs at the minute is the grass mown.

Isn't there already a basketball area and football area and swings? I would have thought the park had enough going on as it is.
