Does anyone know who I need to contact at the council (who is likely to respond) regarding the continual failure of the recycling team to deliver clear plastic bags to us? I live in a small block and we are supposed to be delivered some every three months. Last year I made about four formal complaints before they managed to do it. I've made three so far over recent months. I have also tried to councillors who also fail to respond. Any ideas?Thanks

I don't think that the contract was being overseen.It is all to do with ticking little boxes nowadays and not to do with teamwork. If it was teamwork then the contractors collecting would be able to and would say where there was a glitch in the smooth running of the contract and alert someone to intervene to sort it out.

Sorry I forgot.I guess if you live in a large block then you will carry on as before. I live in a block of 11 flats and we are getting 12 wheelie bins - slightly larger than the usual size. Not sure where we are going to put them all!

Not true, many of us are getting no change, still plastic bags. I assumed that someone had been stealing my bags soon after delivery, it is at least a year since I received any. They were not delivered at the same time as the collection but thrown at my front door from several yards away around midday. All bags are collected by the first of two refuse trucks, the second follows close behind acting as a safety barrier against sleeping drivers but never collects anything.
