Rubbish day is normal week

No change in collection day  before the change over next week

Have been a conscientious recycler for almost 40 years and this is the reason why I don't need enormous wheelie bins. All we need is the food caddy, the green box and a small black bag for non recyclables.  Persons who don't recycle will just fill their bins to overflowing and when the collection vehicle won't take them they will fill up the public bins on the pavements the illegal AirB&Bs in my area are already doing this.

Throw all of your recyclables (check the brochure which came with your bin as to what can/can't be recycled) into the blue bin. I'm pretty certain I read that Ealing will take them back for recycling if you request it. We need to get behind the wheelie bins and help recycle more, because they're here to stay - it's not like they're suddenly going to change their minds and take them back!

only  4  houses  had their rubbish  out  this  morning why did  the  council  change  the  day  of  collection  same  time  as  the  change  over  plus  next  week  its  the  recycle bin that gets  collected so 2 weeks plus  of  household  rubbish collected the 13th june

Am using my green bin to grow runner beans. Least I will get something worthwhile out of it.

A friend in East London said that the crew in that area actually sort out the recycling into the Council Lorry, surely not, that would take ages, and how on earth would they get the stuff from the bottom of these huge wheelie bins?Do we sort the plastics/paper and so on into the blue wheelie bin or just chuck it all in together?Already people are just dumping their green recycling boxes in the street. at least the council should have arranged to have these collected not littering up the streets!

And all those who missed it this morning will have their first experience of having to get two weeks' worth of residual into the next residual collection.If you haven't already you'd better re-check the kerbside recyclables list to make sure you are up to date....
