Let's have a competition for the best looking green box garden

I love the idea of growing things in the green boxes that are no longer needed - how about a street by street competition?  Or at least compete with your neighbours.  A great way to get children growing things.

That's still negative Malcolm!:) I wonder how many of us would have preferred and would have been able to manage with the type of wheelie that the Bedford Park residents have negotiated for and organised for themselves. Some of us have homes unsuitable for wheelie bins and there needs to be provision for us too. We need more community initiatives.

Fab idea. Finally something positive coming out of the 'new regime' - so fed up with complaints about wheelie bins, which are not going to change a single thing!

Fabulous idea! Our house in Summerlands Avenue is planning on turning the green boxes into planters. We would be happy to take spare green boxes too.
