Piles of rubbish bags on Acton Lane and surrounding streets

I have just driven from up from Chiswick to Acton and the piles of rubbish bags littering the streets is ridiculous.  I do hope these are going to be collected in this hot weather.

I've taken this up quite harshly with Julian Bell on twitter. He replied yesterday telling me to DM my address and that he would arrange collection but it's just ridiculous. If they're sending a truck to collect our rubbish, why not take the whole street's worth? Or y'know, just a thought, GO BACK TO WEEKLY COLLECTION. We haven't had new bins delivered, don't even know if we'll get them. I hope not as they're an eyesore.Ealing Council don't know their arses from their elbows it seems. Oh, to bring back autonomy to Acton.

And that is of course because we are all now on alternate week collections...and presumably the collection lorries are running to that schedule.

the problem is that some roads have yet to receive their wheelie bins and so we were told to leave our rubbish out as usual . It now would seem that only the recycling and food were taken today hence the abundance of black bags awaiting collection.

Pretty sure it wasn't them leaving bags on the street. People need to read what comes through their door. We shouldn't need a sweep up if folk put everything in the bin and put it out on the right week. Its not difficult.

Before the mad wheelie bins came along, the streets were swept (sort of) the day after waste collection day. No sign of that this week. Has weekly street sweeping been scrapped as well?  Not a word from LBE on this so far. The filth on the pavements today is unbelievable. I hope Messrs Bell and Mahfouz are proud of themselves. Perhaps they might like to roll up their sleeves and sweep up the mess they've created with their half-baked bins.
