Trafalgar Square event tomorrow to celebrate the life of  Jo Cox MP

If you are in Central London tomorrow there is a major event being held at 4pm in Trafalgar Square.The #MoreinCommon event will celebrate the life (and birthday) of Jo Cox MP who used the phrase in her maiden Parliamentary speech when she said: ‘We have far more in common with each other than the things that divide us’.  Its been organised by campaigners who worked with Jo Cox  in a career that covered politics and NGOs.

I attended the memorial, which was incredibly moving and wonderful. Sadly the Brexit people decided to buzz the event 3 times with an aircraft dragging a banner. Tasteless and disrespectful. The perpetrators have since given a hollow apology. I didn't know Jo Cox but what I heard about her from her friends and family, she was quite a special person who will be an enormous loss to political life in this country. RIP
