You're welcome Susan and thanks for the link. I've read a few comments on that page. Unfortunately this fox must have been starving. It was circling the tree determined to catch the cat around 10:45am, which is late for a nocturnal animal surely. It trotted shyly away when I entered the garden and the cat clambered down to safety. My cat always looks around nervously in the morning and evening before going out, she's semi feral and quite alert concerning these predators because they're regulars but if they can catch squirrels then cats are easy prey too. I feel sorry for them but may need to call the RSPCA to get some support.
