HSBC on Acton High Street closing

I've had a message from HSBC telling me the branch on the High Street is closing following a review of customer numbers.I must say I'm very disappointed, as there were always people in there whenever I went to make a payment or do some banking.Another death knell for the High Street.

HSBC is always busy when I go in there so a shame it will close.They suggest you use the Post Office but the queue is always very long there too so will just get worse.You also have to queue for ages in Barclays so NatWest might be a better choice for those who want to switch.

Really easy to switch banks - I have several times. Contact Barclays and open an account and they will do everything for you.

The front page has caught up!How difficult is it to move to barclays? I think I heard you just go in and they do all the work...Not sure I can face huge complications - which is why - like most of the population - I have never really thought about moving before.

Maybe if HSBC puts in plans for a 37 storey building they will stay.

That is a shame. My late parents banked with HSBC and I went into that branch several times with various documents after their deaths. They were so pleasant and helpful and would always see me at once rather than telling me I had to make an appointment like the big branch in Ealing.

Yep no shops no bank high street  a couple of years ago Ealing council was to make Acton a happy shopping experience  shame on the council

Really annoying. I still need to be able t pay in cheques and am not regularly near another branch. So after decades as an HSBC customer, will probably have to move to Barclays. Not many other options in the High Street and they are nice to my mum.
