It is now time Ealing Council came and explained themselves about the filthy streets

The level of filth as many have now expressed is quite shocking. A totally unacceptable state of affairs. I think the council should now hold a public meeting to explain this situation and what they are going to do about it.

Oh how I wish that those who use the Food Bins would line them with something, not just throw their waste food inside.It is disgusting walking past some of these Food Bins which have just been emptied - they are absolutely covered in flies!Just a little but of thought would make this process much easier and cleaner!

This inept Council can't deliver wheelie bins , sweep the streets or bother to react or answer internet complaint forms ! What are the odds of Ealing Council successfully prosecuting one fly tipper ? Well your honour they didn't supply me with a wheelie bin , case dismissed !

I asked for 11 for our block of flats and after help from Councillor Gary Malcolm, did get 11 delivered. But the problem with flats generally is that they will only give you a bin if the tenant asks, and we know that many won't do that- either because they don't understand the system, don't speak the language very well or simply don't have time.

As you will see on the front page and on the Ealing Council website the fine for flytipping is increased to £400 on the spot. Bad news like this travels fast so I think there will be less flytipping quite quickly. Odd that the Council didn't think to tell the frequent complainers, even their own Councillor.BTW I also say that Daniel Crawford is doing his best to help.

I agree. This is unacceptable. Open nappies on pavements, open black bin bags covered in flies, piles and piles of rubbish wherever you look.I write to the council almost daily, like many others I am sure... Nothing seems to be done!

How easy is it to get a food waste bin now?  I've seen complaints that running up to the change in collection these were difficult to get hold of.  They make a great deal of difference as they are collected weekly and taking the food waste out of the wheelie bins means that they are far less likely to smell.

People are dumping rubbish as a significant percentage have still not received their wheelie bins despite numerous requests to the council . Others are dumping rubbish as the fort nightly collections are making their bins smell . I agree 100 per cent with a public meeting , petition or stopping payments of council tax till this mess (no pun intended ) is resolved!

I totally agree, Ealing is becoming a disgrace, it makes one ashamed to invite friends over.
