Noise that's stops and starts

Live in south Acton area their is banging noise every now Then has anyone had this also

See the "Banging during the day in Stuart Road " thread. This noise is affecting people  all over Acton. Its worth complaining to Ealing Council as they can investigate to ensure that the construction company at the Oaks has done everything it can to keep the noise of the piling to a minimum. I wonder whether we could also ask for the hours of work to be restricted,  as having the noise on Saturday mornings seems really unfair.

It sounds like it's the piling works for the foundations for the Oaks or the next phase of the South Acton development. Piling usually lasts a few weeks and causes vibration as well as noise as they drive the steel and concrete piles into the ground.  After that the general construction works should not be so intrusive, unless you're right next door.

JohnIt's the redevelopment where The Oaks was. Years of noise.Seems we're all going to have to live with it. The extensive and intrusive works. This council allowed it.
