Environmental Win improves Friary Park estate
Catalyst Housing has had to close their vehicle depot after been served Planning Contravention Notice EN160305CU. The shipping container and all vehicles were removed from the site following a visit by the London Borough of Ealing planning enforcement team on11 August 2016.Catalyst Housing had been illegally operating this commercial garage, causing severe noise and pollution problems for residents of the Friary Park estate and Emanuel Avenue since July 2013. They repeatedly ignored complaints by their tenants about up to a dozen lorries reversing around the estate early each morning then blocking The Drive by parking with their engines running for over an hour every afternoon. This is a significant victory for the Friary Park Preservation Group over this Registered Social Landlord as Catalyst Housing CEO Rod Cahill and Senor Project manager Martyn Freeman have excluded all elderly and disabled tenants from any discussion about the future of the Friary Park estate.Through the Environmental Law Foundation the Friary Park Preservation Group were represented by Dutton Gregory.
