I really hope that Ealing Council are reading these posts and realise that all we want is the very best for Acton which was once an inviting place to visit. Sadly not any more.We need shops in The Oaks to cater for all, a Lidl, a small M&S would be fine but we also need a variety of shops, no wonder many residents prefer to shop in Ealing, Chiswick or Westfield.Acton Market is not that interesting either, lots of cheap tat on sale, and the pavement requires a deep clean because it is heavily stained, especially where food is being prepared. Some of the shops selling vegetables tend to move their produce too far out on the pavement, especially in Market Place which means pedestrians have difficulty walking on the pavement. Then we have discarded packing cases, cardboard boxes and rotting fruit and vegetables cluttering up the pavement. Maybe more regular collections of rubbish would improve the situation?Acton could and should look inviting but unless there is the will to do something about it then the situation will not improve. No cinema, no clothes shops, no shoe shops, no gift shops, boring, boring, boring. Are you listening Ealing Council ?????
