Volunteers required at The Felix Project!
We are a new charity that collects food that cannot be sold from supermarkets and wholesalers and delivers it free of charge to a range of charities in the West London area.We are looking for Volunteer Drivers and Co-drivers to go out in our van to collect and/or deliver produce. You will need to be available one morning or afternoon a week, ideally on a regular basis and long-term. There is light lifting involved, so you will need to be reasonably physically fit and you will also need to get on with others, as you will be working with other volunteers. We are also looking for warehouse assistants to help us with stock control, and to keep the warehouse clean and organised. Based at our warehouse in Park Royal, you will carry out a variety of deep cleaning tasks to ensure that standards of cleanliness are maintained. You will also check stock to ensure it is rotated and organised. Light lifting involved. To drive our van you need to be aged 25 or over, due to insurance purposes. A copy of your licence will need to be taken, and we will also need to perform a DVLA check online. If this sounds of interest to you, please get in touch on either volunteers@thefelixproject.org or 020 3489 8588 so that I can send you a short application form. We can then arrange a time for you to come out on a delivery/collection run. With best wishes, and thank you again for your interest in The Felix Project.
