Estate Agent Boards

Can anyone advise on how to get an estate agent board removed.  It was erected in my garden without my consent at the beginning of July.  My neighbour who was selling asked them to remove it and they did but then they put another board up.  So I now have two posts and one advertising board in my garden and they have been there for over two and a half months.Have tried to remove them unsuccessfully myself.  Have phoned the estate agent, Athawes, the manager was very rude.  He denied responsibility and blamed the company they contract to put their boards up for putting it in the wrong place.Despite numerous phone calls advertising board is still up.  Just wondering if anyone has experienced this before and how you resolved it.

These boards are regulated under planning legislation.  If it’s a ‘let by’ or ‘sold’ board and it’s been there more than 14 days it needs planning consent.  Ask the Council to take enforcement action.  It’s easy to do on-line.  They will ask for photographic evidence.  The board outside my flat went pretty quickly after I’d notified the Council.

Jacqueline has already explained that she is unable to remove them herself.Charge them rent?

I removed the offending boards,took them round to the offending estate agents office & left them there.Very satisfying!
