I think this was approved at planning meeting yesterday.Another big student block to go up - other side of hotel near North Acton tube.Holbrook House Victoria Road Acton W3 6UWDemolition of existing buildings and redevelopment to construct a part-16/ part-18 /part-24 storey building with basement for use as student accommodation comprising 424 bed spaces(without both clusters and studios); ground floor ancillary student accommodation and a commercial unit for flexible Use Classes A1, A2, A3, A5, B1 or D1 uses. Cycle parking, storage and plant space to be located predominantly at ground and basement levels. Servicing and 2 no. disabled car parking bays on-site as well as improvements to the public realm including widening the footpath to North Acton Station and frontages to Victoria Road and Wales Farm Road.

I found the page from your reference, but the only mention of more tower blocks for North Acton that I could see was another site between Gypsy Corner, the Park Royal Road - Victoria Road junction, and Portal Way

Whats the posh dogs stand like? It might be rather good - or completely dire - fro the look of it.

They all have these 'retail units' at pavement level, but so few of them are actually occupied I don't see the point.Perhaps if businesses knew they had a stable population, instead of about 2/3rds of the residents of N. Acton leaving every time the Universities are on holiday, they might be able to make a go of something.
