Planning: Station House pub - 1st floor exterior eating/drinking

Plan is to open up the area above the existing canopy and have it as a glass fronted terrace.Canopy area would have support posts put in place and there would be 1 1m70 hedge put on the side furthest from the tracks to try to stop noise and overlooking into 1 Churchfield Road.2 documents to read through are:DESIGN AND ACCESS STATEMENT_COMPRESSEDandSTATIONHOUSEHERITAGESTATEMENTThe bulk of the "heritage statement" is history of the area - I have not compared the text with other sources, like Acton Heritage Society but it could be a useful document for local historians.However, what will those in nearby flats think of the extra noise at first floor level?https://pam.ealing.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=OE5I59JMHBB00

A few years ago, I made a suggestion to the owners that it would be great to utilize the space above with french doors leading onto a balcony.  No idea if they took this on board, but I for one am pleased with the addition, as it can only add a positive to the road.  I would imagine they would have it open until 11pm with either a Friday or Saturday slightly later, but how lovely to sit up there of a Summers evening, and watch the trains go by.  I'm all for alfresco dining on Churchfield Road, as the High Street as it stands is grim.

Work has now started.Upstairs kitchen being redone first - then the plan is to have the balcony ready for summer.

But that is not to say one will not be imposed.I offer them my blessing. If I got involved in every single development id never get to the end. Ive got 3 major refurbs just by my house 1 opposite my front window, 1 opposite the back and one 5 doors to the right. Plus a 15 year major development at the end of my street. That is the price to pay for being in a living breathing changing city rather than a museum piece- see Paris.

They have not offered a curfew in their application.If you (plural) think that it is a good idea then you could add that as feedback to the application.

They may well consider as there has been a pub there far longer than they have lived there that it is part and parcel of living in London and that everything shouldn't be preserved in aspic just because they move in.More seriously they will probably have a night time curfew of 9.30pm or something to reduce the wimpering of the neighbours. Either way, a welcome addition no?
