Clowns

Seen any 'clowns' yet, with Halloween soon wonder if they will turn into 'witches' will have to beware the 'sweets or treats callers' this year.

One year a Neighbour thought there was a child dressed for Halloween in her back garden so she open the door, it was a man kneeling down to look small, he jump up and tried to attack her, luckily she manage to shut him out, this was a few years ago, so do be careful, would be nice if the children something organise for them in future.

Sorry, but trick or treating is just bloody annoying. I have made a point of arranging an evening out on Halloween this year so as not to be under siege in my own home and maybe have my front door egged again.

'utter terror' get a grip. Maybe everyone should dress up as drama queens, be quicker and cheaper by the sound of it.

The utter terror spreading throughout the schools is heart wrenching and needs to be addressed.  Many children I know who have gone Trick or Treating every year since they could barely walk are now asking not to do it this year due to the fear that is being instilled by this whole Clown chat nonsense. I propose we deal with all this fear mongering head and and get all the children of Acton to dress up as happy clowns for the Halloween Trick or Treating night on the 31st. There is such an amazing tradition around the whole TorT'ing event in and around the Poets Corner area and so many people put so much into making it a special and memorable experience for the children and parents included, I was totally blown away the community spirit and sense of fun installed by participating families.  Community is such a fundamental and essentially necessity in these troubled times and we must all do our utmost to protect and nurture it through these rare opportunities.  Don't let a few silly people spoil it and remember Clowns are supposed to be ridiculous, so let's keep it that way.
