Destroyed Trees down Gunnesbury Avenue

Another new tree destroyed in Gunnesbury Avenue. One was broken in half last week and noticed another one has now been done. The trees are protected by wire mesh so they have definitely been done on purpose.What a nob head who ever is doing this.

What a great idea. Perhaps Savers could adopt the tree that has been destroyed outside their shop on the High Street.

As this is close to the Secondary School - perhaps the children in the school could raise some money by collecting outside the school in order to purchase new trees - in liaison with Ealing Council - who no doubt would organise purchase and planting.  A good publicity event for the school I would have thought.

They are down the road towards Acton Town Hotel and the Tube Station. One near the Old petrol Station and one on the opposite side. Ah its Gunnersbury Lane not Avenue.

Please could you tell me where along Gunnersbury Avenue this has happened - was it north or south of the Gunnersbury Park junction?

Great bit on the London News tonight. A young girl was so sad to see that a tree in Oxford Street had been destroyed she planted a new one with her Dad. With the blessing of Westminster Council.

Saw the second broken tree this morning on the way to the station. Can't fathom why the idiots who do this act in this way. It made me really sad, particularly as the trees had made good progress in growing over the summer.
