What I object to most of all is the deception:They said ‘give us terminal 5 and we won’t ask for a third runway’ – they lied.Cameron said – ‘no third runway’ – he lied.May said no third runway – again, economical with the truth…And we, the residents of west London, will have to live with the noise, the air pollution, the danger of over flying planes, the increasingly stationary traffic on the M25, the jam-packed carriages of the Piccadilly Line, etc. etc.They say the expansion will create 70,000 new jobs. Where are all those people going to live? More concrete, more tower blocks, more crowded schools, longer NHS waiting lists… Doesn’t sound like progress to me.
