SSE provide the area service, other named "suppliers" just answer the phone and supply the bill.

UK Power Networks map shows the whole of London in its area.I understood that SSE was just a supplier. You can certainly register people at risk or that was what they said on their website and also to be able to get text updates.
I phoned the new national 105 number when the power went off, Initially it put me through to UK Power Networks, but they were able to transfer my call on to SSE as UK Power Networks only covers parts of London.

Just under 3000 homes affected. It was a blown fuse. Had to phone SSE as my elderly neighbour was at risk. He is now on the SSE at risk list and registered with the emergency services, local authority and the Red Cross.In event of at risk people the number for SSE power cut info is 0800 072 7282
