Muslims like us BBC two brilliant !

What a great programme for English people to learn about Muslims ! I hope they show this in local schools. Wouldn't it be great if people from all religions could meet in Acton once a week to mix and learn from each other .

However I did not agree with Acton mosques disrespectful posters ,asking "Is Xmas harmless ? " If I did that in Eid , I would be arrested for promoting racial hatred ! An interfaith meeting should be to meet and understand other people's beliefs , not criticise or try and convert other people to their own beliefs .

I can't organise anything at the moment... but what a shame I didn't know last week how keen Denis would be: there was a great inter-faith party at St Mary's on the Mount with Ealing Refugees Welcome celebrating Xmas and the birth of the prophet.If anyone cares about interfaith shindigs, Xmas eve is 1st candle Hannukah

I'm sure you can appreciate that people might be more interested in a discussion regarding the characters in The Nativity around Christmas than in the middle of Summer, though?I'm also not at all sure you will ever find a time which isn't near a special time of year for some religion or other - so many religions, so little time...I'm also sure Sara is a busy person - but I await an advert for such a night from you ;)

I do not think my views as contradictory as I would never disrespect other religions by organising a Christian alternative to EID during their special time of celebration .However I  would love to attend an evening of all religions when it did not clash with a special time of year with any religon . Sara Nathan sounds like the perfect person to organise this ! I would love to attend !

This post seems rather at odds with your recent disgruntlement with the local mosque advertising an evening including a lecture of critical analysis regarding the Quran's interpretation of the central figures of the Nativity.That would have been a fantastic opportunity to mix and learn from our local muslim community and engage in a discussion of how different religions approach a broadly similar cast of characters. You didn't even want them to advertise it!I'm very glad you enjoyed the programme, though. Perhaps you could organise a local event?
