Are the pavements of Acton littered with discarded Christmas trees?

The info re Christmas tree collection and places to take them to is not on the info issued on 19 December (which is on this site) and which is on the button on the bottom of the Council website BUT accessible through the golden yellow banner across the top of the Ealing website.  There is a list of all the places that you can take your real Christmas tree to there.

There's a huge pile of xmas trees inside the top gate of the park - rather impressive. And there are many fewer on the streets round here than in Kensington, where I was walking this afternoon. Real obstructions there whereas barely a nuisance here.

I have not received the latest Ealing Council magazine or any information about recycling. I am on a red route, so am supposed to leave recycling in one of the official clear plastic sacks, not received for several years now. Ealing Council is a waste of money.

Well done.  I have to copy and paste each paragraph (ie each park!) separately for some reason on this particular machine.Unfortunately we have now been traipsing through trees on the pavement since Saturday.  The weekend was dry and an ideal time to take trees to one of Ealing's many dedicated real Christmas tree recycling points.  They are supposed to be ON YOUR property NOT on the pavement. Collections don't return to the usual routine until Monday 16 January.Also unfortunately the info was not on the A5 paper notice re Christmas & New Year Collections which instructs you how to find and download your new collection calendar or in the last Around Ealing (which had the Christmas & New  Year collections on the back) so I'm not sure how residents who are not online are supposed to know for sure. Everyone wants to know for sure and not end up making the effort to take their tree where they did last year only to find that the system has changed.

There was info provided that trees would be collected alongside rubbish and recycling. I can't remember where now but I definitely saw it. Hence the trees. They obviously haven't done it though
