We never see our councillor,s at all bet you will when they want ur vote south Acton guys seem to be in hibernation

Oh they could Nina. But do the local Councillors care sufficiently to put pressure on the Regeneration department to  deal fairly with Acton? If Southall Councillors can hold up the development of the gas works site even though there is so much pressure for housing, our nine Labour Councillors should have sufficient collective clout to insist the Passmore Edwards building is used for the people.

Interesting to see what has been done to the Bush theatre in Shepherds Bush. Its also a Passmore  Edwards building, very similar to the Acton one. It has recently undergone a massive renovation to improve facilities for audiences and staff. Not sure where the funding has come from, but if one organisation can do it I would have thought that something could be done here.

Scandalous. Council should hang its head in shame that a thriving local community art centre could have been in existence in that space for years even if it had to move at the end of a pop up term.

Yes. The Town team had an update in January. Apparently last August the Council gave the cinema people another year to put in a planning application forbthe Grade 2 listed building. No word on anything being done to mantain the fabric of the building which has now been empty for some years. Readers are reminded that the offer from local people was turned down because the Council said the Cinema people would move quickly.
