Dog off lead nightmare

Their is a guy with a large black dog looks a bit of a Irish wolfhound. but not as tall tried to attack my cat today thank God I was in the front garden at the time to protect her.   Told the guy should have the dog on a lead then but his hand in pocket  called back the dog from someone else garden he did so I tried to explain that he must have him on a lead 'it is now he said .     so watch out please .I live in south Acton area

John, its best to keep elderly cats indoors they cannot defend themselves from other cats so have no chance with a dog attacking them.

Thanks Terri if gate was closed  she wouldn't be able to climb as she is old  thank God I was their sorry to hear about ur cat will be keeping eye on the situation as will my neighbours who have cats as well

I try to keep my front gate shut all the time now to stop incidents like yours happening. In December a dog off lead ran into my garden and bit my cat badly. Thank goodness you were there and your cat wasn't attacked.
