Are they becoming an endangered species in Acton? As they are self funding and generate a tidy income I'm surprised. Have you seen one in your street lately?

Only reason I can see for there being a lack of wardens is if they are not covering their costs. I heard they need to issue something like 12 tickets a day to cover all associated costs.

Parking once again outside my house (stuart road) is a joke. Why are people driving to pick their kids up from a local school? No parking wardens- people park in the bays during controlled hours which means residents can't park (they sit and wait in car and refuse to move). No considerations for residents and the day before last i had an altercation with a teacher/ dinner lady that came out of the school and was rude and not considerate. It's a joke.No one answers the phone at Ealing council.Rant over. For now. What can be done???

We seek them here,we seek them there,in fact,we seek them every where,we don't need them so why are we looking?

It's obvious why there are no traffic wardens around, Maire has scared them off. Control yourself girl, you're getting out of hand.

Why take money from residents for parking permits if wardens are not patrolling the area?

I saw two walking up Churchfield Road last week.

Now come on, what decent, self-respecting human would want to become one of these things? If they are becoming extinct, then good riddance.

That's interesting. No one has been seen on my road or on several roads nearby for some weeks, The odd parking near the Duke of York and around the junction of Noel Road with Horn Lane doesn't seem to attract any penalties. Are they making so much money out of the Longfield Avenue junction we aren't generating enough income to warrant a warden anymore?

Neighbours have reported that traffic wardens are not patrolling my street and the surrounding roads. A neighbour actually asked a traffic warden who was in Horn Lane about this and was told that it is due to staff shortages!I then wrote to Julian Bell who forwarded my email to Parking Services. They wrote saying that they actually are patrolling in this area and gave me facts and figures to prove their case.Unfortunately they gave figures for Birkbeck Road instead of Birkbeck Avenue which makes one think they are a little confused! Birkbeck Road was not one of the streets I mentioned. Some vehicles without permits park locally and they do not seem to get a parking fine!
