That will be the Theresa May who stood up in Parliament speaking against expansion at Heathrow and then approved expansion at Heathrow within months of becoming an unelected Prime Minister, backed by all those people who told us all the money going to the NHS.Farron isn't anti-gay, but if you trust May, you're crazy.

Does anyone still read a manifesto? I know we are voting for a president in this election, well it feels that way, but this is the stuff they will try to push through so it is important to know what the next parliament will bring.TM called the election IMHO to a) be free from the 2015 manifesto promises that bit hammond when he tried to increase NI on the self employed. She called the election not long after. She needs to be able to do whatever it takes to keep us from crashing on the rocks of a hard Brexit. b) by getting the landslide she's hoping for she is counting on diluting the eurosceptic far right tories with a few more moderates. This is what the city is counting on (according to The Economist and the FT). Worryingly many of the tory candidates standing in the seats left vacant by tories that are standing down are Eurosceptics.Batten down the hatches!

Even if Rupa Huq is an excellent local MP, which I'm prepared to believe, every vote for her will be claimed by the loony left as an endorsement of Jeremy Corbyn.

The result in the 2010 General Election (that Angie Bray won for the tories) showed clearly that either LibDems or Labour could take the seat - Bassam Mahfouz - 14,228, Jon Ball 13,041.  And only one party has truly stood up for the voices of those who believe that Brexit is a catastrophic moment in British history.

As I understood the case for Brexit, it was to restore power to parliament, not to move to a one party state.In case of an doubt, locally it's a fight between two people, the 2015 election result was:Rupa 22002Angie 21,728Jon 3,106So if you want the local remain voice heard in parliament, then vote for Rupa. We are voting for an MP, not a president.

Appreciate what you are saying, do people wonder if they had to be sold off to stop all the striking which was causing havoc in the Country and we still remember those times, it wasn't the best decision and we are paying for it now.  The Referendum was won by a small majority but still won and probably would again if there was another one I think the support for Teresa May proves that without there being another one.  We need a strong leader we can trust and unfortunately have been left with no choice.

So a Tory government with no opposition would be better!?No-one questioning anything in PMQs?Remember that the Referendum was won by a small majority - not a huge majority.  So many lies were told and probably continue to be told - just to get a vote.  The dogmatic privatisation of everything possible hasn't proved to be such a great success.  Don't you ever wonder about the success of other countries' big companies? Are/were they ALL privatised? The remain MP doesn't reflect the view of the Country, you have to give the majority of the Country what they want regardless of why they want or whatever reasons and Teresa May is clever enough to know that, its a terrible shame that some of the other leaders are so stubborn that no one wants to vote for them.  if the remain vote had won you wouldn't have had the Brexit proportion of the Country moaning and groaning about it they would just want someone suitable to take the reigns.

Even if I thought Rupa Huq ( Ealing's worst MP ever ) was great , would I really vote for her knowing Corbyn would be prime minister and Diane(disaster) Abott Home Secretary? Nationalisation, overspending , unlimited immigration ,!. A general election is important not a local MP who supports a lollipop man outside St James school !

Unless you know perfectly well that there is going to be a Conservative government but would like the majority to not be overwhelming and think that a Remain MP reflects the views of the majority of the constituency.In which case you would vote for the Remain supporting candidate most likely to win.

But if you are dismayed at the thought of Corbyn, McDonnell and Abbot running the country, then I cannot see the logic in voting Labour, even if your local MP is a good one.

Dennis - do you really think this is likely?  Why not vote to get a conscientious MP re-elected?We don't get to choose the leader.

It's easy to assume that the UKIP votes will go to the Conservatives, but not necessarily. UKIP picked up a lot of Labour voters these last few years.
