Help us help please

Hi All,  we are collecting cash from the Churchfield Road business so we can buy toiletries and the like for the poor people who were involved in last night's terrible fire.  We hope to fill our van.  If you can help in anyway or have anything you would like dropped we aim to leave Heart & Soul at approx 4pm.  Thanks 🙏🏻

Apparently, what would be useful now is boxes and bags for sorting and distribution.Anyone who can give their time to help with sorting etc. email:Grenfellvolunteers@rbkc.gov.uk - include your name, contact number and availability, and any specialist skills you might have.

It's beginning to look Calais-esque in the overwhelming donations which will take a LOT of sorting and distributing.Agreed - a donation to a legitimate site - there are always fraudsters latching on to these appeals - is the best way now.Of course, Heart & Soul and the others who collected yesterday did a brilliant job. But now going along to volunteer to sort is alway a really good deed (and my personal least favourite of all)

I've spoken to a friend who lives and works near-by. She says they are overwhelmed with stuff. The best way to help at the moment is by donating via thekandcfoundation.com. Make sure you click the 'Grenfell Tower' box once you've filled in the amount.

According to posts I've seen on Facebook and Twitter, Acton Mosque is also collecting donations, if that's easier for people to get to.
