Who is Jenny Marley?

Does anyone know who Jennie Marley is?  She is an Ealing Council employee, something to do with refuse and recycling and appears to support many planning applications where she is not even a neighbour or resident.  Her comments are always with held from the public view. Is it 'right' that she is doing this?  Does it not represent a conflict of interests?  Any thoughts would be gratefully received

Part of the process for planning applications asks borough departments who might have an interest if they have any views on the application. I presume Jenny is the named person for waste who comments, yes they approve of the arrangements or no they don't. I have no idea why her comments are redacted on line. They will feature in the report to the Planning Committee. No need to be so paranoid folks!

No!  Have you emailed them?  I think the only way to contact Ealing Council these days is by carrier pigeon, no?

Nicky, we've noticed the same and I've left my comments on the planning portal with Ealing Council regarding this matter.  I'm asking is this ethical and why are the comments withheld?  To me, this would be the equivalent of me leaving feedback on programmes made by the TV company I work for, where perhaps I have a vested interest.  It's not unbiased and surely a conflict of interest.  If she has any feedback then perhaps she can give it away from the residents feedback.  I don't like this practice at all.

New blocks and homes intended for multi occupancy are now required to leave adequate space for wheelie bins. Now if they could only make that retrospective, our flytipping problem would be over in a truce.

A quick search on google reveals her to be the Commercial Waste Manager for Ealing Council. It also shows that she objects to certain planning applications where the refuse arrangements are inadequate. I suspect any 'support' you see from her is only on the basis of adequate refuse arrangements.
