Churchfield Road on a Friday night

Walked back from Tailor Made (qv) yesterday evening and couldn't believe how buzzy Churchfield Road felt:Packing them in two tables deep outside Vindinista, some new and not-so-new restaurants pretty busy and then, down the station end, the Rocket and Station House both throbbing. Only needs businesses opening in Angela Malik and Berrico (two retail units looming there apparently after the refurbishment) for the road to become a real gastro-hub and local destination. If the Oaks doesn't diss it of course.But does anyone outside the neighbourhood know about it like they do Pitshanger Lane or Primrose Hill?

Also some of the pay and display machines in the car parks will only dispense to residents of the area you have to use a card which is issued to every resident, visitors have to hunt around for a payment machine that will dispense a ticket to them.

Some Boroughs try to discourage outside visitors, they allow free parking in some car parks for the residents of that Borough and visitors have to pay sometimes quite high parking fees, also the Brown Badge parking for the elderly which provides parking closer to the entrance but only if you live in that Borough are you allowed one, its working because I rarely visit that Borough now I thought why support their Businesses if they don't want us there.

Pintos should be opening in the old Angela Malik premises at some point soon (the Pinto ladies are currently having a well deserved holiday in Thailand). Don't know about Berrico.
