Suspicious bald man in West Acton after 10pm

This bald man peeps into front windows after 10pm since 2014. He used to drive a black mazda mx-5, now drives a black Peugeot 206 coupe. He walks like a drug addict, they have a very distinctive walk.I know this because he's been recorded on my CCTV many times, I have reported the videos to PC Sarah Kearny of Acton Central Police but I've never received updates. I'm surprised he's still doing this!If the property occupants are asleep and the lights turned off, then he spend up to 30 minutes peeping into the window and I believe he's trying to wedge the window open with a tool.I saw him again tonight at 22:26 driving up from Saxon Drive to Highfield Road, stopped his car in a corner, jumped out and walked up to a neighbours living room window with the curtains not drawn, lights open and a huge TV visible. There were a couple of people sitting in there unbeknown that he was peeping in... how frightening is that!!! As he walked back to his car I then got my phone out to record him. He drives in a way that's not normal, quite aggressively. He dresses smart / casual. A frail neighbour caught him in the act on new years eve 2015 and he walked past her saying in perfect English 'happy new year.'I posted a quick video footage on my twitter account @LoveActon.His intentions are very clear. Do not leave windows and lights open on the ground floor, you're making it easy for him to look around the contents of the room.-- West Acton resident.

Find it very creepy not knowing if he's right by your windows of an evening, you must be nervous of going outside, did the police warn the builders it was happening, they might be the ones to deter him as nothing else seems to be working.

Definitely not an obsession. I have young sisters to look out for and my neighbours have children. All I want is for this weirdo to be taken off our streets because clearly he has a serious problem. He may be snooping now, but next time he could assault someone. I don't want a guilty conscience knowing that I could have helped catch him.

Well, the house that he's targeting is next to a young family, although I've never caught him snooping in their house.This particular house that he's targeting very frequently is rented by a group of male builders and their female companions stay over temporarily.Now that we know he's partially deaf and likes the opposite sex, I think he's either pleasuring himself whilst watching them from the front window or he's trying to lip read the television.Although, in saying that, he's also targeted a house on my street in 2017 and the occupants were a young family with a lot of children. My CCTV caught him as he tried to wedge open the front window with some tools, that was beyond midnight when everyone is asleep. The police know his details, the problem is catching him in the act. Whenever the police arrives on scene, this weirdo always slips away.

Are there young children living in the houses he is snooping around, could be child abductor, they never give up apparently.  The first thing I taught my nephew when leaving him in the car was how to do the central locking and never open the door if I'm not there no matter what they tell you.  One day was just putting a trolley back, I minute at most and saw a man trying the door, he got some abuse from me and hurried back to an odd looking van with curtains at the windows.  Be careful no matter where you are, this happen at DIY store.

Bald weirdo returned a few minutes after the police left. When I phoned 999, the operator said ‘oh it’s you again’, I said the man has returned! Even she was lost for words, ‘he’s back after the police attended minutes ago’, well duh. That’s what criminals do. Repeat offender.

URGENT ALERTI’ve caught him once again peeping into my neighbours front window. Last seen on Highfield Road tonight at 22:14. When my neighbour got up to the dark figure outside his window, the bald man started jumping around like he was in a spy movie, trying to blend in with the hedges.I quickly called the police but they haven’t arrived yet. I heard sirens around North Acton playing fields so I’m guessing he’s been sighted nearby.I thought he would stop doing this after I called the police on him last time.

It is truly unreal how he can continue to get away with this, after all the evidence that have been given to the police over the past couple of years.Hi 'reason' for being in Cloister Road doesn't even seem to ring true, the fact that he went to more than one house, whilst being followed/watched.Hopefully the police obtained details from him, so 'maybe' they will have these for the records.Unfortunately it appears he has been let of light once again, so he continues with his antics.

Finally caught up with him today. I noticed he drove past my house earlier this afternoon, I quickly jumped into my car and followed him 3 roads away in Cloister Road (West Acton). It was a dead end road where the surgery is. He got out of his bright red car and visited 2-3 properties in a hurry. I called 999 and 2 police vans arrived within 5 minutes on blue lights and sirens.UNFORTUNATELY, he had a legitimate reason to be at the property, meeting someone via a gay dating app. Also, James, you were right he is partially deaf, the policeman who has dealt with him before did confirm it.He's also known to drive around in a old dark blue Mazda MX-5.The policeman also confirmed that he has been dealt with before for snooping around front windows. I told them it's very common to see him at a property in West Acton after 10pm spending up to 40 minutes to 1 hour attempting to open the window. They agreed with me that he's an odd individual.They said he can't be arrested until he's caught breaking into the property.I'm sure this isn't the last time we'll see him.

Ealing MPS has just tweeted that if you see anyone looking into houses or cars to call 999, trust your instincts. It's a far cry from the first time I called 999 about this man, the emergency operator told me off saying 999 is for emergencies only.

Hi James,Yep, that's him alright. When someone walks or drives past, he tries to 'blend in' with the hedges/bushes and acts like he's part of the property. I can't believe he's still at it!Sorry but I lol'd at your recent post about the lipreading through the window ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Now he's totally fixated on a bungalow owned by a group of Easter European builders, I can't bare to think what they would do to him when he's caught in the act. Regarding the police, I've seen more of them at royal events in the press than in our entire borough.

Sorry John, I had no idea at the time it was the infamous Acton Peeper.Next time I will inform the police, though if they can’t catch a 6ft bald deaf man cruising around Acton in a bright red Corsa i feel there’s little point. Has anyone thought that perhaps he doesn’t have a tv and is just watching other people’s while lip-reading?

Just catching up on this thread. Think i spotted the person in question lurking around Avenue Crescent. Red Corsa, hearing aids, bald. No wonder the police can’t catch him as he has such a normal appearance... a regular master of disguise. He ducked down behind a hedgerow, went down the side of a building then came out. Didn’t think much of it at the time because there are soo many wrong’uns in Acton normal behaviour is the exception, but reading this thread it makes sense.

This man has reappeared this evening, he drives a (new shape) red vauxhall corsa with white alloys. I watched him walk up to the bungalow on the corner of the street that he's so fixated with, this time the windows were already open because it's really warm right now. As I took my phone out to record what he was doing... he was rumbled and quickly got away in his car.Be vigilant please. His motives are quite unnerving. Especially since my neighbours car was broken into last night.

On Tuesday 6th March 2018, 2 days after he was seen in the area, a neighbours house was burgled and at least 3 police cars attended. They stayed for 2 hours going in and out of the house, searching nearby houses and front gardens with a torch.It's a remarkable coincidence.

This 'individual' has been targeting residential properties even with children, about a year ago there was a large family living in social housing on my street until they were evicted recently. This bald man would spend approx ONE hour doing something with their living room window at the front of the property. Every time someone walked past him, he would act like he's locked out and acts all innocent.I know this because he's been caught 10 times on my CCTV in 2017 alone, sadly when you give the footage to the police you don't hear anything back. Then, when he returns again you know the police are clearly not on his case. He's been doing this since new years eve in 2013.A normal person wouldn't do this. It's sinister behaviour.I guess the police know who he is and are waiting for him to do something to then arrest him.Sign of the times. Criminals 1 - 0 Police.

The reality is that the police have been cut to the bone, so have no resources to investigate so called "minor" crimes like this. I never thought I would be publicly defending the police - but they do not have the resources any more to keep us safe.

I just can't believe this.Yet again, I have seen this bald man this evening at the same property as the last time I created this post trying the front window of a bungalow. This time he's driving a red vauxhall corsa, white door mirrors and white alloys. I quickly phoned the police but the operator kept wanting details and by the time the police unit arrived, they missed him by 1 minute!!!!! WILL HE EVER GET CAUGHT AND ARRESTED?!!! I told the police unit one of my neighbours has a CCTV which the car was parked in front of but they didn't seem to care and drove off without checking. I really do not get it.

Hi Janice, he chooses at random from what I've seen. Particularly if the curtains are half drawn or not and the lights are on, if it's easy to look in the window he will do it.

Janice, The first time he was captured on CCTV on NYE 2014, he hid something long and shiny in his coat after attempting to open a neighbours front window for almost 1 hour. Every time a car or person went past he would pretend to walk around the driveway acting innocent. I handed the footage to the police, I believe it was PC Sarah from Acton Central Police but I didn't get any updates after that. We want him off the streets immediately and it's going to take more than 'cuppa with a copper' to get any real result.

My neighbour did actually come out of his house and approached him and warned him not to enter his garden again.  He actually has not been back for a few months albeit he had a feeling he did the other night I don't think he is violent but you never know what goes through these kind of people's minds

Please be careful Naweed, he must be unstable in some way and probably carries a knife, best not to approach him alone you cold be injured or he cold make charges against you and he might be wanting someone to try that, he has sick sick plan or reason for doing this.

Well we won't hold our breath then!!I don't think his intention is to enter a property but to just watch people through a window.  When my neighbour challenged him he said he was watching his TV !!!!By even entering the gateway of a property to carry out these actions should be classed as trespassing as warrants his unwanted behaviour  There are many reports of his siting so it's unfair that the police are not taking any action against him which basically permits him to carry on in this manner.... totally unacceptable!

I think the police are waiting for concrete evidence to charge him properly. Looking through a window isn't an offence but it will be too late when he decides to take further action (trespassing). It's a waiting game I'm afraid.He's waiting for the right moment to enter the property and the police are waiting to catch him in the act.

Hi Linda, this is really frustrating! The police should post a letter to every household in the area to notify them about this man. The more people who know about his actions the better chance he gets arrested.Next time I see him I'm going to do a citizens arrest because this is starting to become a joke. 3-4 years he's been doing this!!So far this year, policing in West Acton is rated -10/10.

I have just spoken to a neighbour who had the issue with this peeping tom a while back, he feels sure he was in Park View again around 11pm this week, as his window was open and the curtains got moved.The police have his full description and car details so surely they can act on so many reports.

I have met the hearing aid guy a number of times when I go outside for a cigarette on Cumberland Park. I have chased him off our property at least 10 times and called the police 4 times. Nothing has ever come of it. He is mixed race, 6ft+ and walks quickly with a very straight back . It is a very distinctive walk. He has learning disabilities and will quickly make up a story about why he is on the property even if I have confronted him recently! The story changes every time.

Thanks Janice, it's really helpful for everyone concerned.I use a video doorbell with motion sensor - ringdotcom. It was really buggy at first but then I got the wifi extension plug which massively improved the connection from doorbell to wifi. It's connected to your phone with an app. It's definitely assuring when on holiday. I'm more concerned about my neighbours, many are elderly who live on their own.

Hi Naweed,  there is a wireless sensor that warns you if anyone enters the driveway it's called ibyone wireless driveway alert, can get them on Amazon for about £20, you get 2 sensors and the alarm sounds on a receiver which stays inside.  This would be good for anyone concerned about this prowler.

@Janice, After Ealing Council installed the new eco street lights, it's had a bad effect on CCTV playback, it's more dark and harder to make things out, even if it's a top of the range CCTV system!. Strange thing I've also noticed, the street lights dim after 11:30pm.

Janice, I did catch him in the act in November 2016, although only when I reviewed the footage in the morning, unfortunately my CCTV reset itself before I could export the evidence to police. He spent a good 30 minutes trying to open a front living room window opposite my house. He was on the driveway in 100% visibility with no fence or bushes. I can't bare to think what state of mind he's in when he does this, it's beyond normal behaviour.That's why I assumed he's a drug addict. They don't stop at nothing to get what they want.

This sounds so creepy, thing is they have to have a reason for nabbing him and he has not done anything serious really, trespass perhaps but anyone can enter a front garden, very worrying with warm weather and having to leave windows open.

From your description you have given Linda I think the chap you saw could also have the man who was repeatedly hanging around the building our flat is in (on Acacia Rd) and peeking through windows between 6 - 12 months ago. When I confronted him once he stated he lived in one of the basement flats next door and had locked himself out. I initially believed him as he was open and didn't run away or avoid conversation, although as I am now aware (because of meeting the neighbours who rent those flats) he didn't live here. He wears hearing aids in both ears, young (20 something), tall (6ft+), mixed race. If I was shown a clear picture of him I could identify him easily.I found out recently that the neighbours in one of the basement flats next door had been broken into in April. The front door have been jimmied and the the door to their flat had then been beaten off its hinges. Not sure if there's a connection between the man who was always hanging around and that break-in.

I'm not too sure about the reg plate to be honest. It's too dark in my phone footage.Now that I've checked my CCTV properly, he's been driving around from 10pm to 11pm last night and walking around too, I know that's not a crime but his intentions are very worrying. I hope the police have a zooming software to get his reg plate and facial portrait.

I feel sure it is the same man, tall, thin but looks like he may work out!I did actually provide pictures to the neighbour who he was 'stalking' and these were shown to the policeHe only seemed to come during the day.Unfortunately it stated I could not view the video content.Which is a shame as this would definitely confirm things.

Hi Linda,I'm not sure if he's mixed race but before we had the new street lighting installed, the street was more lit up and I could clearly tell he was white. He is tall-ish, walks very funny and constantly agitated.If he's been warned off then he's clearly continuing this on other streets unbeknown to residents, I have told neighbours to be vigilant. As we have a lot of old people living in the area, they are reluctant to confront him.Everything you've said matches with what I've seen. I don't suspect there's more than one person doing this. This sounds very much like the guy that was continuously doing this to a neighbour during the day in Park View, he would even pulled the curtain across if the window was open.As I saw this happen frequently I alerted the occupier who actually caught him, the first time he said he was waiting for a friend, then when he caught him again he confronted him very sternly and warned him off, I don't think he has been back since.  The police were called so they do have this on record. I also believe other people have reported this, so surely they can act on this with so much information.  There was mention he lives in Shakespeare Road.  The man I am talking about is fairly tall and possibly mix race.  I do not have a twitter account so not sure how I could see your video, but that would really confirm if it is the same man, but it does truly sound like it, but description and car.
