Proposed changes to bus routes 440, 266 & others

It appears the 440 will be avoiding West Acton completely and a new bus, 218, will run from North Acton via West Acton, High St and Acton Vale to finish at Hammersmith.

I have also responded to the consultation, strongly opposing the change to the 440, suggesting the 440 stays largely as is, explaining a number of reasons why and suggesting the new route 218 runs from Hammersmith to the Central Middlesex, rather than North Acton via Horn Lane.

Absolute joke. TFL should've asked residents before proposing these changes. The new 218 route stops at North Acton and turns back, yet the rerouted 440 bus skips West Acton but does go past Asda. We have a lot of elderly people living in West Acton who rely on shopping in Asda. They can't afford mini cab fares every few weeks.Also many North Acton warehouse employees live in West Acton, imagine the clogged up streets with everyone having to drive to work. It's going to be a nightmare!I strongly opposed the 440 reroute and have sent my complaint to TFL.

Route 427 will only run from Uxbridge to Southall station, which might make the 207 and 607 between Ealing and Acton even more crowded
