no signs of life at Ealing Council

Does anyone have a useful contact in the recycling department at Ealing Council? A real person?We are trying to get our garden waste bin emptied. It should have been cleared on Tuesday 25 July. One online report and 4 complaints later, we are still waiting. I have the distinct impression that the Town Hall is completely devoid of living persons and contains only a robot that sends out automated responses to complaints. And, of course, this is a service for which we pay… What do you give for my chances of getting a refund?!

The phone app 'Ealing Council 24/7' is good way to get in touch with the council - I've used it for this and other issues such as flytipping, broken street signs, etc - and the response has always been very quick.  Helpful if you send a picture with it too, but it's all pretty straightforward.

I found a real person (recommended by a friend who had also found him very helpful in wheelie bin world) who discovered the job had been marked as 'cleared' on the system, so all complaints were being ignored...Thanks to his kind offices the bin was emptied this morning.Only 12 days late...

Your Councillors are there (or should be) to intervene on your behalf with the Council.  Email/write to them all!https://www.ealing.gov.uk/info/201044/councillors

If you have details of your payment, check who it was paid to and issue a small claims court summons stating fraud. That should get things shifted.

I reported it on line the day after. Nothing.Have been complaining ever since. Nothing.

I have on a couple of occasions reported on line bin that weren't emptied and they were emptied within the next 24 hours, I followed the links.
