Traffic Chaos at North Acton

Only the eastbound single lane onto the A40 from Wales Farm Road is currently open, causing extensive tailbacks around the one-way system and beyond.  Recommend that you avoid the area if you can.It would appear to be roadworks, but no sign of any activity being undertaken.  Two service vehicles parked across the carriageways with cones guiding all lanes across to the leftmost.

From the AA website:Delays and queueing traffic due to traffic signal failure on A4000 Leamington Park Both ways at A40 Western Avenue. Detour in operation - Bus routes 260, 266, 440 and 487 are affected. The cross over has been closed as a safety precaution due to lights continually cutting out. Also affect traffic at the Hanger Lane Gyratory.
