Acton in The Guardian

Those of us who read the Guardian will have noticed that one of their columnists has moved to Acton and he writes about the various joys of W3 - Morrison, Overground, etc.In today's column he writes about last Sunday's Poet's Corner fete - his dog participated in the dog show but did not win a prize.https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2017/sep/16/tim-dowling-neighbourhood-dog-show-wife-cheatThe reader comments are quite funny as well.

I'm not sure about that. A couple of weeks ago he talked about his wife going to the dentist which involved getting the Overground to Highbury and Islington and a train - so I'm guessing they lived somewhere eastish...

I love his columns too, I was disappointed when Jon Ronson left years ago but Tim has been even better IMHO. I think the family lived in Chiswick previously just going on tidbits from his columns.

I love Tim Dowling's column, it often makes me laugh out loud. So glad he has moved to Acton - now need to sign him up for the CCA!

He only has to donate a couple of volumes to the bookshop, have a glass of wine at Vindonista and whinge about Curzon and the Oaks and he will fit right in...Or, as an empty-nesting Guardian columnist, he is an obvious candidate to host a refugee for me...
