Kew Village Market - 1st October - 10:00-14:00 - 6th Birthday

It’s party time!Kew Village Market requests the pleasure of your company at our sixth birthday party on Sunday 1st October. There’ll be balloons and bunting and birthday cake – birthday presents too, in the form of cheques to local charities. This year’s Mayor of Richmond, Councillor Lisa Blakemore, will be visiting in full regalia to present our cheques to three local charities: Homelink Daycare Respite Centre will receive £1510 to pay for music therapy sessions to help stressed-out carers; 1st Richmond Guides & 3rd Kew Brownies get £625 to buy tents, gas stoves and a table; and £1000 goes to Kew Sparkle as our contribution to Kew’s favourite Christmas party.October’s KVM will be the biggest and best yet: 50 stalls in all (http://kewvillagemarket.org/stalls/) including our own where we’ll be selling tickets for our bumper birthday raffle with baskets and bags full of prizes donated by our lovely stallholders.Looking back on our launch, as a three-month trial with a modest 20-odd stalls, it seems amazing that the market is now more than double the size and that since 2011 we have given over £50,000 to local good causes. That’s certainly worth celebrating, so do come and join the party. In our sunshine-yellow marquee there'll be live music all market long from The Orchard Jazz Quartet and Hanwell Ukulele Group (aka HUG) – with Happy Birthday on the playlist of course!Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday 1st October between 10am to 2pm.
