You can put in your postcode to find out what recycling banks are available around you - or try and find a recycling bank/place for a specific item.If you click on the recycling symbol once you get onto the page for your postcode (where there is a number eg 6) - you will see the different types of related items that can be put in that particular recycling bank.

Well that is a lost opportunity to inform people isn't it!

There was a message on the bins saying that they were going to be removed and the nearest alternative would be Morrisons car park, but the message disappeared along with the bins... Doh!

Isn't there a message saying where the nearest ones are where you expected to find them? The ones for cardboard are particularly useful now that many people buy online and a cardboard box can be very difficult to house in a flat.
So basically, the exact opposite to whats happening with Hospitals and Police Stations, where we are losing the small local outlets and having to travel great distances to large centralised buildings far away.Ironic or what?

Oddly enough I do. With someone from MHPRA and Officers I went on a little walk round last year. The big recycling bins everywhere are being phased out as kerbside recycling gets more efficient. It is thought that big bins encourage flytipping.
