Churchfield road Xmas market 2018!!!
Walking around Hyde Park Winter Wonderland today I had a thought. With the widening of the pavement down Churchfield Road how cool would it be if this extra space was used for a weekly market- or at the very least an xmas market where local businesses could promote and sell their goods and bring the community together. e.g, the butchers could have a stand outside and cook up and sell some sausages, the wine shop could sell hot Gluwine, Otto could sell xmas decorations/toys....the street could be decorated...I think you get the general idea. Maybe just wishful thinking but would be a lovely way to promote local businesses, bring more custom to the area, build on a strong sense of community and make the most of a huge pointlessly widened pavement which will eventually run the length of the road. Thoughts?!
