There was a report on the BBC technology website that a group of Russians have cracked many banks in the US, UK, and Europe. They have downloaded ATM instruction manuals, cracked the system, and withdrawn huge amounts of money, sometimes removing the upper limit for withdrawals of legitimate accounts and then taking large amounts of cash from ATMs. They were also claimed to have attacked a Russian bank, although that does not prove anything about the group or any possible links with the Kremlin.
