dodgy caller

Had a caller this morning who said he was from Thames Water and that they would be cutting off the water supply this morning. He had no identification, no high vis jacket and was obviously trying to find out if anyone was at home. He was about 40ish, white with dark hair,medium height, dressed  in dark rather scruffy clothes and had a slightly Irish accent. I've reported it to the Police.

This fits exactly the profile/actions  of someone who broke into my flat (on Spencer Road) about 2 months ago. I guess be extra vigilant and let the police know if you’re suspicious of anyone

This was issued by local police in last few days"There has been a Distraction Burglary, on BEAUMONT ROAD W4 on THURSDAY 14th DECEMBER 2017 at 19:30 hours, whereby someone has posed as REPAIR STAFF for THAMES WATER, in order to gain entry to someone’s home and steal property".
