West Hampstead Farmors Market

On our way to Greenwich on Saturday,  we changed trains at West Hampstead and discovered this fantastic little market. Lots of choice-bread,eggs,veg,herbs etc, fish & meat and amazing tarts and cakes and much more. And coffee!! Really friendly too. So easy to get to from Acton central. Turn left as you leave West Hampstead overground station and it's less than a 30 second walk.

We had been using that market our regular saturday morning trips into london.  Part of our weekly shop routine.    Unfortunately we have now stopped as they are enforcing the no selling before 10am rule more heavily.  Which is way too late for us and seems crazy for a farmers market.The 'pickle' guy was one of our favourites, but only goes alternative weeks and even then not very reliably.  :'(

There was one - the market outside Morrisons was originally a farmer’s market.  Then there was one at Derwentwater School.I guess not enough people can afford the prices.  I can’t, and we both have full time jobs.  Rent is half our income.West Ealing has a good one though it’s years since I have been.
