Resonating voices from two doors away, sometimes further!

Is it just me, or do you also have some neighbours who you can clearly hear talking in their kitchens (not in their gardens, that's worse) from one or two (or more) doors away?!They must be SHOUTING at each other for it to carry so far and so easily.All rather unnecessary and very annoying in summer but, Ho Hum, that's some people for you.

These bird feeding stations are the one thing that is annoying to me, there are so many birds unable to put washing out because of the droppings and wish they wouldn't place them so close to the neighbours garden my cat keeps catching the birds which is annoying and upsetting.

Roscoe, don't get me started on the neighbours who burn their waste in their gardens during hot summer days with every window open. I just find these people absolutely despicable and heartless. Ealing Council acts too slow.

Enforcement what enforcement they are to frightened to investigate any issues in Ealing Council.. Rosco you may well need to get ear plugs to resolve the problem.

Hear hear, Rosco et al. In my view everyone seems to talk louder than necessary these days. Headphones and loud piped muzak have deafened them and increased the volume of life generally, I guess.I regularly have to move seats on tubes or trains to avoid being irritated by tedious yelled conversations from inches away.We are mercifully lucky at the moment in our garden / kitchen with our neighbours, but anything can change. I don't get why people think everyone wants to hear their views all the time - and don't get me started on people who have music speakers in their gardens so their neighbours have to listen to their choice of music. Again, fingers crossed...one starts to dread the summer months sometimes.

Sadly, warnings is all they get, LBE is very weak on strong  enforcement in this area.And builders know it.

Under local byelaws Sunday working is illegal - report them to Noise/Building Control.They should get a warning shot across their bows at the very least!

Yep, Builders in particular think it's totally OK to hammer, bang and drill away all day on a Sunday.

And then there's the ones who think it's OK to mow their lawn at 08:30/09:00 am on a Sunday morning.Takes all kinds I suppose, that's London.

My neighbours have dogs that the neighbours other side of them can hear barking when they are shut inside but cannot hear anything my side, depends how the noise travels, here it seems that the noise travels up the hill so they hear it and I don't.
