Morrisons Acton

Great news - we've listened to what our customers would like and are making some exciting changes to your Morrisons London Acton store.Once the work is complete, you'll find great new features like a new look Café, new Home & Cook range and a bigger choice of Nutmeg clothing.We're open as usual while we make our improvements, though you may notice a little disruption on your next visit. Kevin wouldn’t think that the mangers would see this. Plants are always deadNever watered and u have so mush fruit and veg trolleys  it’s just awful

To me the problem is that the store is poorly laid out. There is limited space around the busiest parts — the fresh veg and the aisles nearby. They could afford to lose an aisle on the other side of the store, cut product lines and provide more space. That would transform the experience of visiting.

Must agree the loos have always been a problem even though the ladies were refurb a few years ago at Morrisons Acton,  In lots of public loos the push button flush seems to be the problem, find them difficult to push down myself and often go in and find others have not tried to get it flushed.  Don't think the water flow is powerful enough on lots of the push button cistern.

Shouldn't we be thinking "I've been to better, so I want it to improve" rather than "I've been to worse so I'll put up with it being a bit hopeless"? Maybe that's why it's stayed hopeless for so long, because people are happy with poor standards.

Co-op in Acton High Street is long gone, John!It was on the corner of Church Road, where the Cooper's Gate flats are.Used to go in there over 30 years ago......

Dont forget there is a Sainsburys Local in Horn Lane facing the BP Peterol Station.Also we have a small Co-Op further along Horn Lane.  Both stores are very handy for local residents.

I shop there at least once a week. Apart from an irritating slowness to restock shelves I have no problems with the store (living fairly close I've never been into the loos!) For everyday items I think it's fine. I do a big shop every few weeks at Osterley Tescos, and special stuff comes from M&S but top up frequently at Morrisons. Those who think the place is below par have obviously never been into the dreadful supermarkets in the old precinct that is now the Oaks or, even worse, the Coop on the opposite side of Acton High Street. I wouldn't even buy tinned food there! (Filthy freezers and holes in the floor...)

So, it seems the bogs are the problem? Morrisons is OK if you shop there and just don't use the loos? I do agree about their condition.I am still of the opinion though that there's massive over-reaction group think on here unnecessarily denigrating Morrisons. I have seen and been in FAR worse and I will still shop there when I don't schlepp over to ASDA.  :-)

Luckily, there are enough stores around Acton where I can find what I need that I can avoid Morrisons. I have seen a sign on the Art gallery on Churchfield announcing a fruit and veg shop YEAH!There are fewer and fewer reasons to shop at Morrison in Acton. The women's toilets were always a disgrace.

It's the mens loo that's the most immediate blaring issue, positive 99.9% would agree.

Used to notice how dirty the doors were and sticky, hope they will be cleaned regularly.

I can't see Morrisons being allowed to continue selling fresh meat and fish for very long if they were "dirty".Many an establishment with floors you could eat off have been found, upon further investigation, to be severely wanting in the cleanliness department.

Rosco toilets should be checked for cleaning etc .the next time you buy fish at the counter or meat if they are busy never seen them wash thier hands.But if that's fine by you  so be it.

I think there's considerable group sheep over-reaction on here about Morrison's so called "dirtiness".I shop there, it's not pristine but I think it's acceptable.If you want dirty you should have visited Netto in the old Oaks, now that was dirty!

All Morrisons really needs is a deep clean, better lighting and better management.Let's see if they're just putting lipstick on a pig.

Great news for improvements and agree with the mens loo, one needs gloves, a mask and disinfectant to use it.  Blocked sinks and toilet is the norm!

all very nice to have a cafe improvements at Morrissions.Do they know when they are going to improve the gents loo there.I don't know what the ladies toilet is like but the gents is filthy with no air circulation.Will not be going there in a hurry.

Also in the cafe have seen people take cups and help themselves to a drink without paying, might be a good idea to hand out a cup after the person has paid for their drink, also the biscuits and cakes left out, people just help themselves, everything behind counter is best.

Yes the trolleys need sorting out, hope to visit again then if it's as nice as other Morrisons stores we shop at.
