Morrison's to introduce 'quiet hour'

Marion’s stall in the market or the Partiez/Presentz shop on the High Street are both great for cards.

Has anybody been in and taken their own containers to be filled so as to avoid all the extra packaging.  I understand that Morrison's are now doing this.

Used to buy all my greeting cards from the guy who ran the kiosk in The Oaks he always had a great selection of cards.

Also the Birthday/Fancy cakes are not in the party section they are in the bread and cake aisle, and the greeting card selection still not wonderful.

The refurbished Morrisons store I visit the aisles are much more narrow and they have move all the food stuffs aisles closer together, they have a new home range section with wide aisles that no one seems to look at and a party section with loads of space and once again hardly anyone looks at that section either. Must say the store looks lovely and clean but still not very well thought out and not good for anyone in a wheelchair unless they want party goods or home products.

That is less an issue of shopping etiquette and more a problem with store design. A properly-planned shop would have plenty of room for shoppers to browse the shelves but Morrisons is very badly designed. Stuff is all over the place: cans of ginger beer are at the opposite end of the shop from cans of cola, there are five or six different varieties of falafel in at least two different locations, and so on.If they rationalised the range - who needs six kinds of falafel? - and made the store easy to navigate we wouldn't need training on how to shop.

I agree that they are a menace, and they could be left safely in the big lockers by the cafe where people can leave their personal shopping trolleys.Some shopping trolley etiquette training would be welcome, too. The aisles are very narrow, and I am sick and tired of people blocking them by leaving their trolleys right in the middle of an aisle while studying what is on the shelves intently. Five excuse mes later they look at you and go, oh sorry, only to leave their trolley in the middle of the next aisle a minute later...

I wish that children ON scooters were banned from stores too.  They are too young to appreciate where all the length of their scooter is and I don't see why they should practise on customers concentrating on doing their shopping!
