Sorry not on Facebook, Harold Jones being in the area at the time of the murders makes him a possibility but again nothing concrete here either, Except the young girls he did kill. Will try to access Facebook tomorrow.

Unfortunately Janice, the law allows for this. If I accused Prince Philip of being involved in the Hammersmith Nudes' Murders I could get in trouble with the law. If I accused him after he dies I am out of reach of the law. Are you on facebook? Hi Janice. The fact is, if Freddie shot himself or if he was murdered the fact is the end of the gun was touching his eyeball and if he did blink his eye lids would merely close around the end of the gun barrel. I am not out to prove Freddie killed himself although I personally believe he did. My main efforts for the past 10 years has been to prove he was not Jack the Stripper. I believe anyone watching the documentary would have to come to that conclusion.

Very interesting, there is still the fact that most people blink when they fire a gun even those who have been shooting for years, it's natural to blink. We will never know for certain.

Hi Janice. If it was murder, that would that the gunman would have had to put the end of the gun into the corner of Mills' open eye and shot. I would say that was probably impossible for Mills not to have blinked. However I am able to put my finger on my eyeball without blinking and I am convinced that I could make a rifle muzzle touch my open eye without blinking and then shoot if I had a mind to, which I don't.

Hi Janice. Here is the report from Professor Cedric Keith Simson 'Contact wound by direct contact of the rifle muzzle in the corner of the right eye, so preventing burning - the muzzle going right into the eye. Slug calibre not powerful enough to create an exit wound. Reach of 34inches., - 23 inches being sufficient to fire the gun....Passage of bullet: Direction- just below horizontal and slightly inwards. Shattering into minute fragments. Because of the thick bone the shot had to penetrate at the base of the skull. There is nothing from the medical examination of this wound or from thebody generally to give cause for suspician of foul play. In the site of election and the direction of the discharge the wound shows nothing out of keeping with deliberate self-infliction.'

Was unable to find out what happen to the car, shame it won't be looked at again to establish no second person was present.  The first shot could have been made by someone else either standing with the passenger door open or from the front passenger seat things that could have been investigated at the time and why it was aimed towards the tyre.  Seems unlikely a distressed suicidal person would try out a rifle first.  Looking at it as a possible murder scene that is, just my thoughts.

Is it usual to try out the weapon before killing themselves, this could go on forever, so a visit to a medium is the only way to get truthful answer.

How would he have done that from the back seat, they never investigate it as a murder only as a suicide. What happen to the vehicle.

Hi Janice. The bullet was fired at the door from inside the car. The evidence suggests that Freddie shot at the door with the first bullet to see what damage would be done. He then shot himself with the second round leaving the  third round in the breech of the gun.

Well I'll be quick as don't think many Members on here will be interested in this thread.  My own thoughts are that Freddie was murdered, the bullet hole in the car look to me that someone was aiming at the tyre to prevent him driving off, also he would have killed himself with his own gun plus the rifle was placed neatly beside him and why was he in the back seat.Regarding Harold Jones, yes it's possible but always felt those murders were organised and that maybe the girls knew too much or some other reason and never believe it was Mills.  I'm only going on my own thoughts, have always been interested in gun crime, it may have been the Mills case that spark my interest originally.  Anyhow you do good work and your persistence helps get things sorted.

Like a repeat of Jack the Ripper, couldn't solve it so suggested the person responsible committed suicide.  Thing is with all the corruption within the police force at the time, how can we believe anything that happen in the 60s has a grain of truth.

Because he was a fake himself. He couldn't solve the murders so he made up the story about Ireland to make himself look good in his book. I can prove he was a fake. Even New Scotland Yard today acknowledge the fact.

Do you mean why was the J.T.S. murder case left open. If so it's because the police know it wasn't Mills. He was never suspected by the police and he isn't now.

It is quite simple to see how Mills was linked to the J.T.S murders. John du Rose, a top cop on the murders case wrote a book in the 1970,s after he retired stating he knew who the killer was. He said his suspect had committed suicide within 2 months after the last victim Bridget O'Hara was murdered. We now know that the person referred to was Mungo Ireland who committed suicide in March 1965 which as Du Rose stated was TWO months after the last murder. However a journalist who wasn't too clever at sums, in 2001 planned to write a book claiming Mills was J.T.S. Mills died in July 1965 which was SIX months after the last J.T.S murder. That book was never published. However Michael Litchfied foolishly continued the lie.

Think it strange that someone running a club and mixing with all thoseCriminals never own a gun himself, everyone had them at that time, why would he have to borrow a 22 to do it, the whole story don't ring true to me.  But if the family are happy with what they already know then so be it.

The documentary didn't tell the full story.                                                              Freddie borrowed a gun from Mrs Ronaldson who ran a rifle range at Battersea funfair. He falsely told her he wanted it to go to a fete at Esther in Surrey. He took the gun back after a few days saying the fete had been cancelled. There never was a fete planned. Freddie visited Mrs Ronaldson a few days later to borrow the gun again as the fete was rescheduled, but again this was untrue. While Mrs Ronaldson was making Freddie a cup of tea he stole five rounds of ammunition from her mantel shelf. He drove to Goslett Yard with the gun and five rounds. He shot one round in to the car door to see what damage it would do. Seeing the damage caused he then shot himself in the eye as, if he shot himself in the hard boned part of the head it would only have caused serious damage. Admittedly it is unusual to shoot oneself in the eye I am convinced he had it in mind to shoot himself. He had a lot to drink and I believe he may have been aiming for the eye and may have accidentally pulled the trigger.
