Sign up at the Acton Town works today say they will finish tomorrow, the 9th, rather than the 7th as originally promised. What's the betting on further slippage?

E3 has actually been on two diversions both located close together over last few days! The Acton Town Station one is handled by the E3 (if coming from Acton High Street direction) going down the side of Acton Town tube towards Bollo Lane. At Chiswick Park tube station roundabout it turns right to go down to Chiswick High Road and then right along to Chiswick roundabout. It then goes up the North Circular till the first main traffic light junction junction and turns left towards South Ealing past Gunnersbury Park so rejoining the normal E3 route towards Greenford!The second diversion (which I think finishes today?) is because Southfield Road from Acton Lane along the length of Southfield Park has been resurfaced over the last few days. That diversion meant buses coming from Acton carry on down Acton Lane and at the bottom by the garage/pub at Acton Green roundabout turns left and goes along South Parade to rejoin the normal E3 route at Turnham Green Terrace!I had the pleasure of these additions to the route yesterday and would suspect subject to where you are trying to get to and at what time you could well be adding on 30 minutes time to your journey if the traffic is bad?

Does anybody know if the works are finishing on schedule? I need to know if the E3 is still on diversion tomorrow when I have a hospital appointment.

Amazing the number of drivers who seemingly cannot see a huge notice saying 'Road closed except for access'!
